01 / THE SOUNDGROOVE FIRST.
The sound.
CHAS (Christian Azuaje) grew up on the Venezuelan coast, where latin, funk and afro rhythms came before any kick drum. He plays from Madrid now, and the heat followed him: groove first, polish later.
His sets span new beat, electro, techno, cold wave, dark wave and EBM.
Sound engineer by training, so he reads the room before the crate.
